Road Trip!

Greetings and thank you for stopping by! My card today was created for the new challenge over at Eclectic Ellapu where the theme is "Anything Goes." That makes it very easy to play along! For my own card, I wanted to use a previously un-inked stamp by Technique Junkies. The background panel was inked with Distress Oxide Inks and overstamped with images by Artistic Outpost. I look forward to seeing what you share with us.  Hugs, Yvonne

Love Rocks!

Back again with a new post to share a card that I made for my son and his wife for their anniversary.  All images by Dina Wakley. I began with a water color panel and spritzed it with Distress Ink Sprays. The figures were stamped on scrap water color paper, trimmed, water colored and adhered to the panel. The panel was matted and mounted to a card base. Thanks for stopping by! Yvonne

April Showers

Greetings! My post today is for the current challenge over at Frilly and Funkie where the theme is April Showers.  I decided to go with the showers bring flowers motto! I inked up, for the first time, some foam stamps from Stampington Company with Prima Art Alchemy Sparks Paint and Archival Inks to create my water color background panel. The sentiment is by Oxford Impressions and the focal image is by Art Journey. I added some doodling and matting and mounted the panel to a card base. Thanks so much for stopping by! Yvonne

Graffiti

Greetings! The weeks roll by and already it is time for another challenge over at Inkspirational.  The theme this time is Graffiti Art! I had to look that one up on the Internet! Fortunately for you, the design team while give you lots of examples to inspire you!

For my own car, I began by stamping this cute little guy by Paper Artsy onto a water color panel.  I dropped several colors of Dr. PH Martin Inks onto the panel and then blew them around! The sentiments by Unity were stamped on scrap card stock and adhered to the panel. The panel was matted and adhered to a card base.

I look forward to seeing what you come up with for your project!  Thanks for stopping by! Best, Yvonne

Spring is in the Air!

Greetings! I apologize for the delay in publishing this post.  I quite simply lost track of the time.  My card above is for the latest challenge over at Inkspirational Challenge where the theme is "Spring."

For my card, I began by spritzing a water color panel with pink and yellow-toned Distress Spray Inks.  I collaged a paper napkin on next. It included the word Paris, so I decided to go with a Paris in Springtime theme. The images are by a now defunct company called Art Declassified. I spritzed them with the spray inks too for just a touch of color. A couple of chitchat stickers and some seam binding fashioned into a bow and my card is complete.

I hope you will check out all the fabulous makes by the rest of the design team and then submit a project of your own!

Today is a New Day!

Greetings! It is wonderful to be back again, as a design team member at Fashionable Stamping Challenge.  I truly appreciate their patience, as I am finding my way back following my husband passing.

Our new challenge for the next four weeks is "My Favorite Things." Think "Sound of Music" and your favorite stamp, and remember, we are a stamping challenge and we must see stamping as the focal image on your project.  I hope that you will pop on over to see all the various creations the design team have dreamed up to inspire you and that you will consider creating a project of your own to share with us.

For my own piece, I thought of "whiskers on kittens" and chose to use this adorable stamp image by Technique Junkies.  The background panel was done with Gelatoes and then toned down with Gesso.  I stenciled some dots with black embossing paste and splattered some orange paint to add a bit more color.

Remember, one lucky participant will win a gift voucher from our generous sponsor FlonzCraft. Best of luck to everyone and thank you for stopping by.  Yvonne

Make A Wish

Greetings! I am back today with a post to share my creation for the new challenge over at Simon Says Monday Challenge where the theme is "Make A Rainbow."

For my card, I began by laying down streaks of Gelatos. I spritzed the colors with water and spread them around a bit with a brush. The cup cake and angel, both by Stampotique Originals, were stamped with Archival Ink onto scrap water color paper and then colored in with markers, trimmed and mounted to the prepared panel. A splattering of white paint and some ChitChat Stickers completes my card.

Thank you for stopping by! Hugs, Yvonne

One for Sorrow, Two for Joy

Greetings! I am back today to share with you a card that I created for a challenge over at Frilly and Funkie Challenge Blog where the theme is "Count Me In." For my own creation, I began with a watercolor panel that I applied four different Distress Oxide Inks to. I then stenciled using Tim Holtz's stencils various sizes of numbers with some of the Distress Oxide Inks. I added black texture paste through another stencil. The focal image and sentiment by Paper Artsy were inked up for the first time and added with Tim Holtz Vintage Collage Medium. Some dyed cheese cloth, thread and buttons complete my card. Thank you for stopping by and thank you for all the words of encouragement as I've returned to this fabulous world of art. Hugs, Yvonne
